Didn’t work! My fault

I think it was my problem as I used skimmed milk as I wanted to make a low fat yogurt but next morning all I had was a yogurt maker full of milk! Ah well

Unfortunately did not work

Both the Greek Yoghurt and the Lebanese Yoghurt starter failed to produce yoghurt. I have always succeeded in making good yoghurt with store bought yoghurt as starter. I have emailed the team and used the AI contact form but not had any response. Hence the negative review

Hi there.

We're sorry that our reply to you on 6th of June didn't reach you. We emailed to let you know we were sending replacements out for you. These were sent out on the following Monday and were delivered on Wednesday 10th July. If you have any issues, please feel free to contact us on orders@freshlyfermented.co.uk.

Excellent starter culture

I have had a very good Lakeland yoghurt maker for several years but did not realise that there was a starter culture that could be used indefinitely. When I saw this heirloom starter culture I was delighted and had to try it, I like Greek style yoghurt so choose this one. My first attempt was slightly grainy, my second batch was perfect, I will be making a third batch tonight. I like yoghurt fairly sharp so leaving it for 13 to 14 hours overnight is perfect. It is thick and creamy enough that I don’t have to strain it. Highly recommend trying this culture.

Organic Greek Yoghurt Starter Culture

This starter has now made 50 batches in the Lakeland yoghurt maker, when the fermentation has finished I put 2 small teaspoons in a small container and freeze, when I start a new batch I take it out of the freezer and by the time the milk has cooled down its ready to start the next fermentation, after fermentation I put it in the fridge for about 5 hours then put it in the strainer until breakfast, this is the best part it is very solid but I add small amounts of the whey to get a smooth creamy yogurt.
