Organic Turkey Tail Powder (50g)
The Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) is a mushroom and a very common annual saprophyte (feeds on dead wood) on stumps and branches of deciduous trees. In addition, it can sometimes be found on fir trees. It grows in groups and has a white edge with different coloured zones: reddish brown, grey, blackish, white and beige. The sturdy, fan-shaped hats of the bracket are 3-8 cm in size and usually no thicker than 2 mm.
Turkey tail is a mushroom that grows all year round. When harvesting, the ‘elfin banana’ is picked from various forests. After harvesting, the mushroom is cut into pieces and left to dry in the oven. After this process, it is processed into a fine elven powder. We grow and freeze dry our organic turkey tail powder on site here in Lee on Solent.
Mushrooms are generally full of fibre, vitamins, proteins and minerals. In addition, they contain a lot of water and few calories. Mushroom powder is naturally rich in many B vitamins, including Vitamin B-3 and the minerals magnesium, copper, potassium, phosphorus and selenium. In addition, it contains essential amino acids and fatty acids.

Each bag contains 50g
Hi I need to clarify if the Turkey tail is organic, fruiting bodies / pure mycelium biomass with no grain fillers from being grown on corn, wheat, rice, bran or oats. Can you let me know asap please Thanks Liz
What substrate are they grown on? do you use rye, or woodchip or a mix? Thanks.
Hi Is powder made from 100 % fruiting body with no mycelium ?
How many grams in a packet, do you only do one size packet?
Hi, where are this sourced from?
Hi, both our turkey tail and the powders are manufactured here on site. We grow turkey tail, extract it and freeze dry it back into a powder. We grow on organic substrates in a sustainable method.
How much Turkey Tail powder would you take in a day? i.e. how much of the powder would you put in a smoothie? Many thanks. Pippa
Hi Pippa, the recommended dose is between 1-3g per day for optimal immune support 🙂 Thanks Lisa
How do you consume this?
Hi Alice, it’s freeze dried so you can put it in smoothies or any drink to consume it. Thanks Lisa
