    Is it vegan friendly?

  2. JJ says:

Just wanted to ask if this yoghurt is meant to be really runny, its a little lumpy but nothing like any store bought types of yoghurt. I had a taste and it does have a slight tart flavor but wanted to make sure its ok to eat!

    1. Lisa Hillyer says:

Hi, this is a Japanese culture and it is mesophilic so yes it will be a curdled type of texture which is normal. Thanks Lisa

Not for me - too many other ferments going on?

First batch after reviving the starter seemed to work. The yoghurt had a slightly cheezy taste to it, which i found offputting, but i could get used to it. The second batch failed completely, basically milk gone off. I have lots of kombucha's, lacto-ferments, mushrooms, etc going in my house. So i suspect that mesophilic yoghurt does not have the competitive advantage. Probably will go back to kefir.
