Organic A-Fil Yoghurt Starter
A-fil yoghurt is similar to Filmjolk, but contains different types of lactobacillus bacteria which result in a slightly more tart tasting yoghurt. A-fil is a firm breakfast favourite in Scandinavia, often served on muesli or granola. Our Organic A-fil yoghurt starter makes a yoghurt that has a fairly thin consistency and can also be used to make drinking style yoghurts. Perfect in a smoothie as an alternative to plain milk or great as part of a protein shake.
The bacteria responsible for fermentation of milk in our organic A-fil yoghurt starter are Lactococcus lactis and lactobacillus acidophilus. The unique ability to ferment at room temperature makes the this yoghurt an easy yogurt to prepare at home!
