And what better way is there than Milk Kefir Ice Cream? it’s brilliant for the gut biome, for example, our Milk Kefir includes 40 strains of different healthy bacteria which will assist in ridding your body from most harmful bacteria living in the gut! so here is our secret recipe to make Kefir Ice Cream from the comfort of your own kitchen.
Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 5-6 hours
470ml Whole Milk 470ml heavy cream 660g chopped/sliced mango 170g Honey
10g Milk Kefir Grains
Pre-Freeze a container in the freezer
Step 1: Pour your milk and your heavy cream into a litre jar and mix well together for around 4-5 minutes. once done add your kefir grains to the jar and place a jar cover on top of the jar (Fermentation hat/Cloth/Kitchen towel and a rubber band)
Step 2: Leave the jar to ferment for 12-24 hours on your kitchen side, the time it takes to ferment will depend on temperature. The consistency should be
the same as a thick yoghurt, once it is like this it is readyStep 3: remove the kefir grains from the mixture, if the mixture has separated into curds and whey, you will still be able to use it. add the honey and chopped mango into the mixture and blend it with a blender or a food processor.
Step 4: Stir the mixture together once more and pour it onto your pre-frozen container, and put it into the freezer. Every hour stir the mixture together, Repeat this process for around
5-6 hours and the ice cream should be ready
